INTENIUM and Ravensburger Digital sign Casual Multiplayer Online Gaming deal

A leading European maker of toys and games will shortly have its own Ravensburger World and 3 of its games in the Casual Multiplayer Online Game Alamandi

Hamburg, 10 February 2010 – INTENIUM, one of the leading Casual Games Publishers in Europe, and Ravensburger Digital, a subsidiary of the leading European maker of puzzles, games and toys, have just agreed on a partnership in the online casual multiplayer field. The two companies have agreed that Ravensburger Digital will be integrated with its own Ravensburger World into “Alamandi” (INTENIUM’s new service - Casual Multiplayer Online Game, www.alamandi.de). Users of “Alamandi” can then explore the new location of „Ravensburg“ where they will be able to play 3 of the best-selling Ravensburger group board games adapted for online gaming by INTENIUM Studio.

For “Alamandi” it is the first major collaboration of its kind, more will follow. At the end of 2009 the client-based online world launched its open beta phase and is already reporting brisk players-inflow. The platform is aimed at a broad audience, especially core casual gaming fans – females 30+ years old. In the client-based, elaborately designed world of “Alamandi” the players enjoy different locations. The game allows users, while playing, to solve different tasks cooperatively in the online world and, at the same time, explore and transform it. Players can go into one of the mini-games and compete for treasures, customize their game characters and build their own home in the world of “Alamandi”. The use of “Alamandi” is free of charge as the business model is based on micropayments and subscription.
